We're all very pleased with the finished product, and its success is due in very large part to your guidance throughout what was a totally foreign en-deavor for most of us. You never know what the future holds, and I won't hesitate to call on you again if a production takes us down this path!" —Patricia Houk, Production/Music Manager |
In 2000, KPRC-TV in Houston undertook a crucial advertising campaign to promote the upcoming Summer Olympics. To produce the five-spot series, KPRC brought in Jerry Smith, a very highly regarded producer/director from Jacksonville, Florida. The first thing Jerry Smith did was to hire Hassan Nadji as his Director of Photography. Even with his own excellent and widespread reputation, Smith admires Hassan’s creativity and work ethic: “Hassan is an old Middle Eastern who [works and] shoots like a twenty-year-old American.” The collaboration of these two professionals made the campaign a tremendous success, and KPRC’s Olympic ratings went through the roof. |
One of Hassan’s most recent accomplishments is the completion of the short film, “Outsider,” which he wrote, directed and co-produced. The film, beautifully shot on 16mm, tells the thought-provoking story of an immigrant teenager pressured to join a gang.
